Red Oil Pressure Light + Oil Service Warning on Supersport 950
Hey, I have a question about the Ducati Supersport 950 (2023).
I bought the bike with 950 km on it. The previous owner already had the first service done at 900 km.
Now at 1050 km, while riding, the yellow warning light with the oil service symbol came on, and almost at the same time or shortly after (I couldn’t tell exactly), the red oil pressure warning light also came on.
After calling Ducati, they told me that the oil service timer could not be reset before the bike reached 1000 km. However, nobody could explain the red warning light that appeared while riding.
I also checked the service invoices, and the oil service was definitely carried out properly together with the first inspection.
After parking the bike, I checked the oil level: the oil completely covers the sight glass when the bike is upright, and it also looks fine.
When I started the engine again, the red warning light was only visible with the ignition on and then disappeared after the engine started. I haven’t ridden the bike since then.
My actual question is:
Does the red oil pressure light also come on when the display reminds you about the 1000 km oil service, or do I actually have an oil pressure problem?
