Are waitlists actually a proper way to gauge interest? Speaking from my perspective, I am not sure I would ever join a waitlist unless the rewards were so great it just wouldn't make sense to not join. I am currently offering early access, and chance for free premium on release for joining my waitlist. If I was a random person, I would feel no urgency to join this waitlist, no matter how cool the idea is. I simply would just download the app once it launches.

Starting a social media account advertising an app now a days seems nearly impossible to grow. Not sure if it just takes a long time now a days to get any sort of traction. My main question is are paid ads worth it on TikTok/Instagram? Are they necessary to actually grow an account that is trying to advertise something?

I am developing a new app called CreatorLink. I am already a ways into the development, so I am not slowing down now I am just curious if anyone has any feedback on the idea for what I need to incorporate. 

The idea is just a free form social media where creators and brands can freely connect. When you log into the app you identify yourself as a creator, brand or a personal account. As a part of your profile, you can link all of your socials, add lots of stats such as engagement rate, followers on different platforms, add your media kit. 

Users depending on whether they are a creator and brand can post various different content. An influencer can repost different content they have posted on different social media accounts, can post a looking for a collaboration post, as well as just anything they want. These posts will show up on a mainstream feed where there will be specialized ways for the users to interact such as an interest button, and small things like that.

The main goal of this app is for it to be the main communication between different creators and brands. So instead of small creators linking their email at the top of their account they lis their creatorlink username. I would say this is more targeted for small creators at the moment, but like I mentioned I want it to almost kind of become the standard I the creator realm kinda like a LinkedIn.

I am developing an app and I am having trouble marketing it. I am torn between making direct advertisements for the product, trying to make them entertaining, while displaying my product, and just going along with the current trends, trying to maybe get something to blow up and get more attention to my page. Any thoughts?

I feel like I am developing something that is useful, and could benefit people but I a cannot get people on my waitlist. The content/advertisements I post on my social media accounts I feel are good but just don't get pushed by the algorithm so no one sees them. I don't know if I should just continue posting, or if something just needs to change.
