Picked this up after seeing it in a store that imports Chinese toys, something that is very rare where I live. I had no experience with lego sets beforehand, having played only as a kid, since original Lego's are prohibitively expensive and as I said, alt bricks are very rare, the only brand I know that has an official distributor here is Pantasy, that sells through Amazon.
So I picked it up immediately, and invited my girlfriend to build it with me.
The set has 1002 pieces that came in numbered bags but we organized the pieces anyway because the bags seemed to be mixed up a little.
The structure of the car was the easiest part to build, some pieces (notably the blue pins) where incredibly hard to fit, and when mistakes where made we had to get a plier to separate them as carefully as possible, such was their grip, but still not a huge problem.
The worst came when we had to add the finishing pieces. The manual had such a poor order of placement that we had to partially disassemble the car to add the fenders, since there was no way to reach the pins needed. The same repeated both in the front and the back, although the back was slightly easier because the pieces where bigger.
The result was a car that's slightly misaligned and disjointed, and I don't think it's our fault. We checked every step, and everything is according to the manual. The final product has some huge holes in it and a hood piece without any finishing or sticker, just a solid technic panel plate, which adds a layer of ugliness made me think if they even built it before selling this set.
It was fun building it, me and my girlfriend had a blast and were instantly hooked on the hobby, and have since bought another 3 sets that are waiting in line to be built, even though the final product from this wasn't really satisfying.
