Researching UK MBA programmes (full-time, September 2026 entry) and trying to compare academic quality across:

Nottingham, Cranfield, Leeds, Glasgow (Adam Smith), Durham, Exeter

What I'd value hearing from anyone who attended these or knows the programmes well:

  1. Teaching quality — which faculty are actually engaging vs. just well-credentialed on paper?
  2. Curriculum design — which programmes feel intellectually serious vs. which feel like recycled MSc content rebadged as MBA?
  3. Experiential learning — quality and rigour of the live consulting projects, capstones, simulations. Real client work or staged?
  4. Student support and admin — day-to-day reality, not the brochure version.

To pre-empt the usual replies: I'm not asking about UK job markets, visa pathways, ROI, or whether a UK MBA is worth doing. Genuinely just trying to compare the educational experience across these specific schools. Happy to take DMs.

Hi everyone,

I’d really value some honest advice from people who’ve gone through MBAs or are working in HR / consulting / transformation roles.

My background : 8+ yrs Senior HRBP (APAC), M&A, GCC scaling. Moving into HR Transformation / People Analytics / AI in HR.

Current situation:

  • Offer: Nottingham MBA, Cranfield MBA, Leeds MBA and Exeter MBA

Key questions:

  1. Which of these actually helps move into HR transformation / analytics roles (not just HRBP)?
  2. Leeds vs Cranfield — which is better perceived in UK hiring?
  3. Is Exeter too niche for mainstream roles?
  4. Does Nottingham add enough value at my level?

Looking for input from alumni / recruiters / anyone in HR transformation.

Thanks in advance 🙏

P.S - I understand the current employment market challenges and especially for international students, this request for information is to better understand the Universities i intend to complete my masters with. So kindly refrain from writing about the said information. Thank you for your understanding!
