Sprinter Abby Steiner is suing Puma, claiming Puma's 'defective' shoes ruined her career.

Link to article by Front Office Sports (and here is an archive link if you hit a paywall).

Steiner was previously sponsored by Puma, having signed with Puma in 2022 for a reported $2 million. Steiner claims Puma’s shoes increased the risk of injuries through their design and use of carbon fiber plate and nitro foam technology, and that Puma knew of this increased risk of injury and tried to conceal it.

The shoes cited in the complaint are the PUMA Deviate Nitro Elite 2, Deviate Nitro Elite 3, evoSpeed Tokyo Nitro, evoSPEED Tokyo Nitro 400M, and other PUMA running shoes that had carbon fiber plate and/or NITROFOAM technology.

I've included screenshots of certain sections of Steiner's legal complaint. I have a PDF copy of the entire 35-page (157 paragraph) complaint, although I'm not sure how to share it.
