Hey guys,

I’m finally looking to ascend and buy my first real gaming PC. For context, I’ve been gaming on a 2014 MacBook Pro for the last 10 years (yes, really lol).

I received an offer for a prebuilt (Bluejour Ghost) for €850. I also have the option to add a 1080p monitor for €99 more, bringing the total to €949.

Here are the specs of the prebuilt:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-12400F
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 (8GB GDDR7)
  • RAM: 16GB DDR5 5600MHz (2x8GB)
  • Storage: 1TB SSD (SATA 3)
  • Motherboard: H610 Micro ATX
  • PSU: 500W
  • Cooling: AIO Watercooling
  • OS: Windows 11 Pro included

The Monitor (for +€99): * Philips 24E1N1300A (24", 1080p, IPS, 100Hz)

My questions for you:

  1. Is €850 a solid price for this hardware in Europe right now?
  2. I know tech reviewers kind of hate on the 8GB VRAM of the 5060, but since I’m strictly playing at 1080p, is it really an issue?
  3. Could I build something significantly better for €850 if I buy the parts and build it myself? I’ve never built a PC before but I’m willing to learn if the performance jump is huge.

Let me know what you think. Thanks!
