Tretinoin 0.5 or 0.1% help
I’ve been using 0.025% tretinoin for about 3 months now. I still get some occasional pimples, but my main reasons for using it are acne scars and anti-aging rather than active acne.
At this point my skin seems very well adjusted to actives. I also use AHA and BHA acids regularly, and my skin tolerates tretinoin every night without irritation, peeling, or dryness anymore.
I’m about to get a new prescription and I’m wondering if it’s worth moving up in strength. Would you recommend going to 0.05% first, or could I realistically jump straight to 0.1% since my skin is already tolerating daily use so well?
I’d love to hear experiences from people who increased their strength mainly for scars/texture/anti-aging rather than acne.
