▲ 33 r/kindness
I was watching tiktok today, and I scroll into a video about a 14 year old cancer survivor who skipped his make a wish Disneyworld trip and donated the money to charities. They then show a picture of the boy and my first thought about him is " wow he is ugly" even though he sacrificed his potential last request, and decided to help others in his probable last months. I decide to dismiss his kindness, and think about his unfortunate appearance. How do I get these extremely negative thoughts out of my head. Because I clearly have a mental issue I need help solving to become a better person like that kid. How do I think more positively? Or is it something everyone thinks of and I'm just overreacting?
