Employer in Dubai Keeps Delaying Salary Payments — Need Advice
Asalamulaikum, I am Soha and me and my sister work under Mr Kasim for Spheric Mode as sales officers. We have worked since January and we have brought in some sales, still we are having sales but unfortunately we haven’t received first salary yet from Mr Kasim. We learned and worked on different things, submitting orders, called rejected for potential sales which they said that they are interested next month (majority), we also contacted real estate agents, and we used canva to design and advertise posters. We checked customers’s pending amounts on e& website and entered that on the excel database. The problem is that so many weeks have passed, we haven’t received our first salary yet for the 3 of us, Soha, Maham and Shiza although we are supposed to receive it at the 10th of every month as per our employment contract and labor law. Mr Kasim is saying he is checking with the company or saying he is in Pakistan. And he did not reply to my last message. And I brought one interested customer and gave Mr Kasim the details of the customer but unfortunately for some reason the customer wasn’t interested anymore even though they were very interested… now for the sales that are coming I don’t understand what shall we do? Because Mr Kasim is not replying neither giving us our salary. He even said he will come on 27th April and pay us but now is backing from it. Should we address to the police or something? Head of Sales isn’t cooperating either. Also another thing my father sold an old mobile phone to a shopkeeper but there was an old data of us which we had to delete. So we delayed it from giving to the shopkeeper asking for some more time and then we will eventually give him but that shopkeeper complained it to the police and we gave it to him . Now tell me for this salary shall we call the police and complain about Mr Kasim too?
