18F, going to university of Leicester to study law!
i'm interested in becoming a corporate solicitor - i am aware i’m already disadvantaged because i don’t go to a top 5/10 or even top 20 uni for law.
however, i still want to make the most of this opportunity and maximise my chances of securing a TC (national london law firms and up preferably)
advice ive recieved:
- have fun - your gonna work a lot before you retire so make the most of your youth
- apply to 1st year schemes - great for TC's/VS's (apply sep/oct so you don't have to do it alongside exams)
- extra-curriculars - join a society that you will enjoy (not just law ones), do something you can carry on post-uni
