everyone calls rust a survival/pvp/base-building game, but i feel like its real “genre” is political.
every wipe turns into territory control, alliances, betrayals, intimidation, propaganda, trade, taxation, reputation, class difference between nakeds/geared clans, and clans basically “governing” parts of the server.
it feels less like a match and more like primitive civilization rebuilding itself through fear, trust, force, and diplomacy.
am i reaching ?
