I’ve spoken to my primary care doctor and my gynecologist.
I’ve told them the following:
- i’ve had massive weight gain
- missing periods here and there
- heavy menstrual flow, and in December and January I had heavy and prolonged ones (like, a month long)
- hirsutism (face and stomach)
- hair thinning
- i took aygestin to stop the crazy bleeding per the doctors orders. My period fully stopped since then. (february)
Gynecologist tells me because I don’t have consistent missed periods we’re not calling it PCOS. I wanted to speak to an endocrinologist but the gynecologist says she would do the same labs that they would do.
My primary care doctor says she wants to consult my gynecologist and maybe rope in an endocrinologist to get another opinion. But I want to speak directly to them (but can’t without a referral)
What should I do? I’m thinking of talking to other doctors but this process is so painful to go through when no one listens -____-
