Has anyone successfully partnered with newsletters? What actually got them to say yes?

I just shipped Latitude, a transparent location sharing app that notifies you when someone checks. I'm trying to reach parents of teenagers, and I think partnering with parenting newsletters could be a solid channel.

For those who've done this successfully:

  1. What did you say in your outreach that actually got a response?
  2. What made the partnership appealing to the newsletter owner... promo code for their audience, revenue share, flat fee?

Latitude works differently than existing location sharing apps ...

  1. You get notified any time someone checks your location. Now users can be findable if they need to be, but don't feel like they're being surveilled.
  2. No ads and no data selling. No location history is stored at all. Every time your location is checked, the last one is overwritten.

Free to download from the App Store and use for one connection. You can use the promo code LAUNCH (settings -> upgrade -> redeem) for two weeks of free unlimited connections.

This is still early stages, so I would welcome any feedback through reddit (or emailing info@latitudelocation.com)

Last week I shipped Latitude, a transparent location sharing iOS app that notifies you whenever someone checks. A few reddit posts have led to website traffic and app downloads, but few of those users are creating free accounts.

I used to require users input phone numbers (as a simple way to invite contacts), but received feedback this was likely discouraging account creation. So now users can now sign in with apple, google, or email and no phone number is required.

Would really appreciate anyone willing to download and test why users may not be creating accounts. Happy to return the favor for others.
