Finally I feel “seen” by a doctor

I have, for as long as I can remember had ovarian cysts, horrible periods, difficulty getting pregnant, deep fatigue that nothing could help, you name it I have it.

Then covid hit and I moved across the country. Stress through the roof, sleep all messed up, gaining weight like crazy no matter what diet/exercise I do. My labs were “normal” despite feeling like I was on the edge of collapse everyday.

I finally reached out to a reproductive endocrinologist and she took me seriously!!

She ran labs based on how I was feeling and discovered that I have insulin resistance. She’s recommending I start a GLP one via a compounded pharmacy because insurance won’t cover it. It’s quite expensive, are there any other options or has anyone had success with getting a GLP one covered for PCOS and insulin resistance through Blue Cross Blue Shield? I am really looking forward to feeling like myself again and getting my life back.
