From the previews we got Montana is sounding to be insane. John Gotti Karate(hard ass name btw) and Diamonds are both 10/10 tracks are much more lofi which fits Freddie better in my opinion. Hopefully we get it soon cause we know MadGibbs will deliver.
So this dude, Egon, is currently pretty deep in a lawsuit with Madlib. Madlib sued him late 2024 for financial disputes and ownership of music, and so Egon decided to countersue Madlib, which directly affects the release of Montana and Maclib, as Madlib doesn’t want to release this work while he doesn’t have sole ownership of his masters. The countersuit added some time to the case but hopefully it will be finished by 2027 and we will get the Montana then.
He is filming more music videos but what caught my attention is the Japanese theme(he is in Japan rn) and this may be a video for the Alfredo II deluxe which we got no news on for a long time, or this could be another video for the yod1 deluxe.
Freddie Gibbs is shooting a music video for “30 Girlfriends(Yeah Yeah)” a while after the YOD1 deluxe was confirmed and leaked, it’s possible we get this pretty soon.
