Recently purchased a 23 45e with 45k miles. The transfer case was replaced pretty much right away. I *think* the car is driving normally now but since I bought it used I have no frame of reference.
Occasionally shifting is a touch exaggerated or lurchy while in EV mode. Not excessively jerky but not as smooth as I would expect either. My other car is a 25 XC90 T8 which has no transmission for the EV motor so perhaps I'm just unfairly comparing the 45e to the butter smooth T8.
While in sport mode it often seems like the car is short-shifting second gear in that it basically transitions from 1st to 3rd with only a very brief period in 2nd. When the car does have an obvious shift point from 1st to 2nd it's often kind of jerky. When in manual mode the car shifts through all gears normally.
Finally, because the car seems eager to shift from 1st to 3rd when I'm already in 3rd and I apply moderate throttle the car seems to want to stay in 3rd instead of downshifting, which makes 3rd very long and the acceleration seem a bit slow.
No codes or any other strange behavior that I've noticed. Does this sound normal or should I get the car checked out?
