Can I change the gravel in my established tank? (More info in desc)

I'm looking into changing the gravel in my tank because of the fact, I don't want to buy a new gravel vacuum every single cleaning I do.. I bought a gravel vacuum a bit ago and used it twice before it stopped working properly at all because it's so full of gravel and no way for me to get it out without ruining the vacuum.. I am at a bit of a loss on what to do since I can't just not clean the gravel in my tank with these poop monsters. I'm going to post the gravel and vacuum I use into the comments if that's any help for people:)

If anyone knows if I can change out the gravel or a more efficient way to clean the gravel without clogging the vacuum would be greatly appreciated!!

This is my goldfish, pinkie. I'm almost positive that he has epistylis and I have absolutely no idea how. He seems to be the only one affected in the tank(I have a 55 gallon tank which I clean once a week with 2 Goldie's and a pleco I plan to rehome eventually.) and this a picture of him yesterday vs today he is even worse now and the spots have spread, at first it seemed like he was getting better like they were disappearing but woke up the next day and it spread..

I've been using kanaplex and ick remedy to treat it and cleaning the tank, I don't know what to do at this point nor am I sure if he's gonna live.... I'm worried for him.
