I am 45 years old and I just realized "Lamb Rogan Josh" is not named after a person!
Saw it on a menu while on a cruise, and I figured I guess this Rogan Josh is some famous chef or something. Later I saw the same dish served in the cafe at work. That piqued my interest, this guy seems really famous, let's figure out who he is. Imagine my shock when Google told me "Rogan Josh" is Farsi for stewed ghee or something. Even worse, I thought this was big news, so I posted it on TIL, but got laughed off as "No one thinks that".
Did anyone else here not know this?
