With McMillan having been undermined so blatantly now it is beyond probable that he will leave the club before his contract runs its full course. He was tasked with fixing the club but he’s not being supported in that role so hard to see how he can do so with a new hodge-podge coaching ticket being assembled around him. I would rather we didn’t have to lose the guy with such good pedigree/reputation. I also think this will also kill our chances of getting another good Kiwi DOR like Vern Cotter/Jamie Joseph/Scott Robertson from a Super Rugby club as they will hear first hand from Clayton that this club is a basket case from top to bottom and the board won’t actually back you in the role.
To that end who do you think the club should to get in to replace him? Who is available in the market? I don’t think we have the front five power to attract Mark McCall as he needs a big strong pack to implement his play style. Looks like it’s another 3-5 seasons of ‘rebuilding’ on the cards!
