Without a doubt Laura palmer is the most pivotal character in twin peaks, it's the reason that agent cooper went to twin peaks in the first place ,it's the reason people wanted to watch twin peaks in the first place , everyone wanted to know ¿who killed laura palmer? . But most people don't see her as anything else ,they see her as just a murdered girl in a story , they never really truly think of her suffering that she had at the hands of bob/her dad , all the nights she spent awake hoping that bob would stop coming in thru her window , wondering if this was happening to her because she was dirty, because she deserved it .

She wasn't dirty ,she didn't deserve it , she was a 12 year old girl, a girl who was being sexually abused at the hands of her father who was abused as a child and continued the cycle of evil .

when it was her turn , she refused to turn into her father ,she refused to continue and decided that it was better to die then rather life as evil . And yet after everything she endured, after all the pain and suffering, she found peace . But it took to dying to find that peace sadly .

For some people who suffer from abuse and suffering ,they might think death is the only option but no it isn't please don't think that, the angels haven't gone ,please if you find yourself in this position please tell someone ,it's never too late . I hope to who ever reads this and has suffered the same as laura , you are strong and it was never you're fault and you are deserving of everything good the world has to offer.

"The angels will return and when you see the one sent to help you, you will weep with joy"
