I want to move to Paris and want advice on how I can realistically do it. I know its hard but Im not the first nor the last to move so any genuine advice about how I can go about this in my position would be really appreciated!

  • I work as a service designer, senior. Want to maintain or improve my salary/standard of living. Ive been painfully broke in the past. No fun
  • British citizen. 30s
  • At a B1 level. Reading much better than speaking but Im getting there.
  • Don't need to stay in the periph. I've stayed in Aubervilliers and previously Houilles–Carrières-sur-Seine although it was slower paced, RER is class and my commute was quicker comparitively to life in London. Ive stayed in the centre before loads of times but I really wanted to take it slow and be there like I would be if I lived there.
  • I have a growing network of French and English friends/aquaintences out there. Each time I visit I spam my network to connect me with any people they know out there and try to catch up with everyone from previous visits so I wont be 100% alone.

Thanks!
