I kept breaking my flow while studying scripture, so I made an app to fix it
There were so many moments where i’d come across a difficult word, confusing passage, or deeper question in scripture and end up opening google, dictionaries, and chatgpt trying to piece everything together. it completely broke the flow of reading and studying.
so i built Illumen — an immersive AI-powered bible study app designed to help you truly dive into scripture and understand what you’re reading while staying inside the text itself.
you can:
- tap verses or even individual words/phrases to ask questions
- study multiple verses together for deeper context
- generate cross references instantly
- explore biblical maps and locations
- create beautiful scripture cards and artwork
- save study notes and insights as you read
the goal wasn’t to replace scripture with AI. it was to remove friction and create a more immersive way to study and reflect on God’s word.
it’s available now on iPhone, and there’s also a full desktop version for deeper study sessions.
