We’re currently finalising renovation plans for a bathroom and seperate toilet/powder room. It’s a really tiny space we’re already cutting slightly into a bedroom to get an ensuite size wash basin in with the toilet. There’s no way to get a cavity door in and we’re already getting an in-wall cistern style toilet to save some space. The door can only swing inwards and it’s a very cramped space. I was thinking about getting a solid coot bifold door to save space but don’t know of anyone who has done this. My main concern of course is privacy/sound - it’s the main toilet (hence why we’re adding a sink) opens into the hallway - it currently only has a hollow door - would a solid core bifold door be as sound proof as the hollow core regular door?
