I’m trying to find some trusted auto service in or around the Cartersville area. My car has had a new little quirk I’d like looked at before I have a big 6 hour drive next month. My main issue is I only moved here a little under a year ago and I haven’t got a good idea of who or what my best options are so I can be sure I’m in the clear!
As a frame of reference, my poison is a 2017 Ford Focus SE (cue the obligatory ‘well there’s your problem’ comment). For a couple months I’ve had the occasional noise/feeling I can’t really identify. Tbh it wasn’t something that ever even registered with me until a couple people pointed it out. It never occurs when I’m up to speed driving on the interstate or anything. This seems to occur only when accelerating from a stopped position like at a light or coming from a stop sign. When I let off the break and onto the gas, when I first start moving, the car seems to do something that feels like it wanting to go, but kind of struggling to start going. There is a super short noise that sounds a little like a rattle (for lack of a better word) with a bit of vibration/rattle at what feels like the front end of the car like my wheels wanting to go but just not catching. That’s the extent of it really, a 1-2 second occurrence maybe half the time when starting to move.
Of course some local Ford dealer I figured would be an option but if there were any well known local guys who do good work, I’d rather give my business to them.
