Since Season 9 has arrived and ofc every season has its own cinematic stories, let's all try and puzzle things here and make sure to express your view as well. This is from my analysis by far. As we all know, the whole lore is about the ongoing triple confrontation between Ahsarah Guards, the Global Threat Initiative (GTI) and Haavk Cooperation. The confrontation took place in Ahsarah (and plus a newly introduced nation called Ahket, which is an alternative Egypt ofc, currently expanding and introduced in Season 7) which is located in North Africa. The confrontation happens because of Haavk exploitations within Ahsarah that led to the country completely collapsed, from exploiting resources, and a lot more stuff I can't typed in because of the sub-reddit policies here, and in the end, the Ahsarah Guard clashed. Then GTI finds out and yep, they joins in, creating more chaos. And since the war things hasn't gone well here.
GTI POV: GTI as of now are facing corruption within the higher ranks based on the Season 6 Cinematic where the character Raptor (Landon Harrison, Ex Delta Force and Fmr. GTI Intelligence Director) tells D-Wolf (Kai Silva, possibly Ex Delta Force too or at least US Amry) not to give the Mandelbrick to GTI command to which at first we didn't know why until in Season 9, our new character Morse (Luke Everley, Fmr. British Royal Navy Intelligence) confirms that there's corruption in GTI Higher Ups. In addition to why Landon Harrison leaves from GTI is that Kai Silva's father, General Carl Houston, who is Landon's best friend since the event in Mogadishu in 93, died under an unknown circumstances from what I remember, AND Landon thinks that General Carl's death caused by Haavk's trustees within GTI, basically I'm referring to the corrupted secretly serving for Haavk.
Ahsarah Guard POV: The Ahsarah Guard on the other hand were once unified by the Raven (Tidal Prison Boss), who is basically from what we all know of, the crown prince of Ahsarah. Until everything goes of the cliff and he alongside the royalists got betrayed and captured by Haavk due to some unknown reason. In the case of Saeed Ziaten and Khalil Reis, it may seems like both of them are in the same team but not at all and they clashed a lot. Saeed is the only one who truly wanted to save his country and have the patriotic spirit to defend his own people while Reis? He came for personal gains, even develop a cult of personality. The Raven on the other, we may sees him as insane but he's more of a good version of the Joker and aligns with Saeed in terms of their goals.
Haavk Corporation POV: Haavk has evil from the start overall, depicted themselves as a technological saviour who brings miracles while in reality, they run as if they're a country of its own, in fact, it's a nation without borders. The manipulation was so bad that the people who work though they're doing it for a better future. Even Anaïs Desmoulins, the Haavk Security Director, slowly realised how much has she's been manipulated, being used as guinea pigs and in the end, it didn't benefit to those that Haavk promised at all. Not to mention Nox (Helie de Montbel) have also been falling for it to which he quickly realised and defect, then Toxiq (Zodaya Prevchenko), who creates the Alpha Link, has also defect because her own creations was purposely used for the bad by her trusted partner (also lovers ig) Dr. Rometheus. The higher ups including Alonso Hudson Haavk for over the past few years has been going full demontime just for the cash, clearly the devil in disguise as an angel here.
So overall as of today, GTI is now corrupt, Ahsarah Guard are not on equal terms and Haavk continues to pull the strings, basically prolonging the conflict.
