research stipends as a undergraduate??
Hello, I am an incoming freshman and am considering various ways to pay for college. My parents are only paying for the first two years, so I just want to prepare to pay for the last 2 as much as I can without going into debt. My dad has been encouraging me to get into research at university because that's how he paid for his college and bills when he immigrated here. Context: He was 30 when he moved here and started college in an urban city + he was very smart and educated, so professors LOVED him. He was offered to do research for NASA through his college, so that the expectations he has for me
I want to know if this is possible, and if so, how can I prepare? I love science, like microbiology and pharmaceutical engineering, and am going into the healthcare field, so research was going to be a part of my college experience regardless. I just want to know if it is possible to gain a good sum of money doing it in my later years of college, or if anyone has any insights for research/what I should do for the first 2 years of college. Thank you!
