Been a traditional window cleaner for 10+ years and recently switched over to water-fed pole (about 2 weeks in now).
Overall I’m liking it, but I’ve had a few customer complaints about water spots being left on the glass after it dries.
My TDS is always at 0 or 0.1, so I’m confident the water itself is pure. I keep the brush clean as well, so I don’t think it’s contamination from that either.
I’m rinsing thoroughly (or at least I think I am), but clearly something’s not quite right somewhere.
Just wondering:
- Is this likely a technique issue (not rinsing enough, frames bleeding dirt, etc)?
- Or is it just picky customers who are used to traditional and expecting a “dry finish” straight away?
Also debating whether to start charging extra (like 50% more) for anyone who insists on traditional cleans going forward.
Any advice from those who’ve made the switch would be appreciated 👍
