Episode 6 Manga review

I was really surprised by the adaptation, it is much better than I imagined. When I first read this arc in the manga I couldn't have imagined it coming out so well in the anime

I like that the anime is not shying away from using more than 2 chapters per epsode anymore and at the same time it didn't feel rushed or stretched out in any sections.

I liked the emphasis on the fact that Iruma is what brings the misfit class together, acting as their leader and light of hope. I felt this one done slightly better than the manga

Agares looks a little goofier in the anime without his cloud, hope it doesn't feel that way during the performance

A couple goofy pieces skipped out by the anime, I wish would have been there

This shock by Iruma

The extra enjoyment from the judges

Overall loved the episode, they flushed out the performances from the first three classes much more than I expected and really look forward to the Misifit performance given its supposed to be much better than the rest of the classes

These two have a lot to talk about now

Ameri's little scene in the museum, Iruma's reaction to it

Iruma later realising this was not hunger

Iruma acknowledging Ameri's effort and feelings in the other world, even if just a little bit

Ameri finding out about the existence of Alikred, maybe we'll get a little flashback to when Alikred put Iruma in a frilly dress and Ameri will be like Oh

Ameri comforting Iruma, him accepting the comfort when he saw the human world

And then there's Ameri finding the truth about her mom, the manga. Her inner conflict knowing her and Iruma can work but at the same time the suffering that they might go through.

There's been a lot of progress in their relationship the last two arcs

I also wonder if this is the end of the talk between Ameri and Henri, I assume you have to address the elephant in the room, the fact that Iruma is also human. Does Ameri show her dad her conviction, and her strong feelings towards Iruma? That she will support him staying in the Netherworld no matter what?

Maybe the father daughter duo have a new resolve to make the Netherworld a better place for humans so Iruma can rule and Merize can return at some point?

Translation Error or another big reveal?

Kushinashi says she knows someone who wishes for the Human-Demon world boundaries dissappear.

Could this be Delkira? Someone else entirely?

Side note, the fucking pain in his eyes

Have we seen any reason for the other teachers and student council to be scared of Opera?

We dont see other students being scared apart from the student council after this

I may have missed some things obviously but these are just things I noticed immediately.

This episode covered Chapters 161-163 and 168.5. I was happy to see the entire second half of the episode dedicated to chapter 163. Good amount of time spend on introducing Poro, didn't feel rushed.

No snarky "wishes he was cool"

I didn't notice this in the manga on first reading lol

I liked this extra little jab by Purson at Iruma

This was obviously different, but I liked the anime's take on it. Very happy to see it finally animated

Seeing it in the anime after being caught up with the manga, I now realize this twitch/glare is about the demon king comment. Poro obviously not a fan of any thoughts about Delkira being replaced

https://preview.redd.it/rdqa0dfsqyyg1.png?width=548&format=png&auto=webp&s=c1a31d0de6300fde2e1ea659f613be577b26645b

Anime mentions a grudge, which wasn't in the manga. But ig its just referring to the the rant by Poro after this scene

https://preview.redd.it/u8p0atq6ryyg1.png?width=1494&format=png&auto=webp&s=b07153f06c073cec80d28d8b5eeb83b94352340d

This Panel was sort of skipped. Specifically the part about Poro stil loving Derkila even though he allegedly had an affair

https://preview.redd.it/d22srau7syyg1.png?width=3374&format=png&auto=webp&s=bd82ad95d7755e43acf830e883b1d51c3498fe13

Nice little addition by the anime. Makes sense the Sukima is unique to this chapter since the Sukima for this and next few chapters has already been covered as part of the main episode in the anime.

Few reasons for this speculation:

  1. Merise situation after giving birth

  2. The weird phenomenon that tried to pull Iruma back to the human world while Mephisto was rescuing them.

  3. There seemed to be some entity pulling Iruma into the Great Beyond Gate, we have no clue whose hand it was that Iruma held while getting sucked in

Also, just the fact that Sullivan was almost in tears. If Iruma goes back can Sullivan not bring him back to the Netherworld again? Or was this how Derkila got lost and Sullivan just couldn't bare the idea of losing someone like that again.

I'm re-reading arcs because no new chapter this week XD
