What do you think the % of people that go to resorts in Mexico are from Mexico or Spanish speaking countries is?

Was just curious as my GF and I are currently staying in Playa Del Carmen at Grand Princess Riviera. We noticed that a ton of the guests can speak Spanish and a lot of them look like locals. Whenever we conversed with our waiters/servers they always start in Spanish and then switch to English when they realize we don’t speak Spanish (unfortunately). I was just surprised because I was in Cabo at Pueblo Bonito and it was mostly white people and most of the workers started with English . It really got me thinking how many people that go to resorts in Mexico are locals/from Mexico?
