When completing the WSIB reconciliation, we had a thought about the Total T4 Earnings that is the starting point of the reconciliation. The Total T4 Earnings are actually less the $1,000.00 (x VFF) exemption.
As the exemption is a tax break for the volunteer rather than the employer, we're having a hard time understanding why we shouldn't pay premiums on those earnings?
Does anyone have any insight?
