My five year-old Portuguese water dog has had pretty bad allergies this spring. They mostly present as her incessantly, licking her legs and feet and sometimes other areas. We have been using a medicated shampoo, 1 to 2 times a week per the Vet directions (see picture).
About 10 days ago, we decided to give her a Cytopoint injection to try and give her some relief so she can sleep and relax. It has worked very well and she she’s been much more comfortable, however, I went to give her her medicated shampoo and found this THING between her pads. I thought it may be something bound up in her fur, but when I tried to trim, it was clearly very painful and the mass even bled a little bit. She’s not limping, but does still occasionally lick that paw.
i’m waiting for a callback and appointment with her vet. Has anybody else seen this??????
