I recently stepped into a supported employment role at a mental health nonprofit that was previously unfilled, so I’m essentially building the program from the ground up.
My main focus is helping my people reenter the workforce, and a big part of that is developing partnerships with local employers and organizations to identify opportunities for clients who are facing high barriers in this job market.
I have a background in sales, so the process is familiar to me, I’m mostly struggling to identify the right contacts and figuring out the best way to connect with companies when we’re starting with no existing network.
Anyone with experience in outreach or partnership development, where would you recommend starting? I’m open to anything, I just want to help my people out. Thanks!
