How do you deal with linkedIn ghost jobs? And is it realistic or possible to work remotely for companies in other countries? B/c I no longer want to work for german companies.

I’ve completely had enough of linkedIn jobs. Over time, I developed a pretty good radar for fake postings but lately even that fails me. Yesterday I had an actual nervous breakdown after receiving a rejection email on a sunday at 6am. I was literally a perfect fit for the role.

At this point, I automatically ignore reposted ads because in my experience they’re almost always fake. And I honestly don’t buy the whole “companies can’t find qualified candidates” narrative either. There are insanely qualified and competitive people everywhere here. If a company genuinely wanted to hire, they’d find dozens of suitable candidates within hours.

Instead, it feels like many companies are just fishing for the cheapest possible candidate while pretending they’re hiring. And now they remove the posting, then repost the exact same role the following week under a different title instead of reposting the job for weeks. It just keeps going like this over and over again. It’s a massive waste of time and emotional energy and now I realize I’ve fallen for this several times recently.

My german is conversational and I don’t apply for roles requiring full fluency, but I’ve honestly lost all motivation to improve it because this whole job search has completely drained me. And I’m scared this situation is starting to jeopardize my relationship too. If I could convince my german husband, I’d probably leave the country without thinking twice at this point. I genuinely don’t see a future for myself here anymore.

My question is: is working full time and remotely for companies abroad actually realistic? Or is it the same mess everywhere?
