I recently got a lebara esim. I’ve tried to install WhatsApp but the code goes to the other device where whatsapp is being registered. I contacted Lebara customer care, one of the agents told me to change the number and they will refund the money. The other one says I just need to contact whatsapp customer care. I tried to contact with screenshot but it goes to the device where it was registered to.
The agent also told me it’s been happening in the last 3 months in Germany wide with some Lebara users. He also pointed somone spammed through this number therefore I can’t have it. My question is how is it possible for someone to spam a WhatsApp number that is not theirs.
Should I file a complain to the police station just to be safe? any similar story with anyone in this group?
