Are you supposed to "drop" your deadlifts on the lowering phase?

I've noticed that for conventional and deficit deadlifts specifically. People generally just drop the bar fast. Why is this the case specifically for the deadlift excluding RDLs?

Just want to make sure I am doing my deads right. Usually controlled proper concentric then a fast eccentric on heavy doubles

I'm thinking about including more barbell back squat due to the limited leg machines in my gym. I'm a bit worried about the risk of arm breaks due to the clips I saw online.

In order to prioritise safety I perform close grip high bar back squats. This is because my shoulder and arms are not in a compromised position and the close grip makes bailing easier and safety in a worst case scenario. I also use safety bars as a MUST.

In light of all this information. Am I safe? I'm extremely paranoid about getting injured

Does anyone know where I can find legitimate anti stab proof clothing and vests? You can pretty much just say I am very kan cheong especially after recent events.
