My friends and I are going to start a Calamity world; we have been planning this for a while now and we are all really excited, but one of my friends keeps saying that we should make it hardcore and won't let the idea go.

For context NONE OF US have played Calamity (at least much or enough to truly understand how hard it is from what I've heard), but my friend still insists it will be more fun that way. I've played my fair share of Terraria and have watched many videos about Calamity and seen some of the bosses, but no matter what he will not let go of this idea.

Should we actually make it Hardcore? Is it more fun that way? Or is there a substitute I can tell him about?
