Hey all,

I’m trying to diagnose a stability issue on my 2018 Tesla Model S 75D (USA), and I’ve already ruled out most of the common stuff, so I’m a bit stuck.

Symptoms:

  • At highway speeds, on uneven road the car feels unstable / sways side-to-side. No vibrations or pulling on either side.
  • Doesn’t feel planted, only happens at high speed, even on a slightly bumpy road
  • Feels like “floating” slightly
  • No clunks, noises

What I’ve already checked/done:

  • All suspension bushings inspected → no visible wear/cracks
  • No play in any wheel (checked in all directions)
  • Tires ~80% life remaining
  • Wheels balanced recently
  • Switched to OEM 19" Slipstream wheels
  • Replaced the rear control arm links
  • Full alignment at Tesla Service Center

At this point, I don’t want to just start throwing parts at it blindly. I have already spent over $1500 trying to fix this issue.

If anyone has dealt with something similar or has ideas on what to check next, I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks!
