Advice/experiences with getting into UCLA/UCI as a chemical engineering major please
I’m a highschool student right now and I really want to get into UCLA (my absolute dream target) for chemical engineering. I experienced a lot of mental health issues in my second year of highschool and I haven’t been able to feel the drive as strongly anymore. I have decided to go to community college and I want to try my absolute best and grind so I can get to UCLA (UCI is safety school since it has TAG for chemical engineering). My plan is to grind my life off and try to transfer to UCLA as fast as possible from cc, I know I’m pushing the limits but does anyone have any advice or personal experiences? If so, I have some questions 🙏🙏:
- What was ur gpa and stats? (including ecs)
- What California cc do you recommend?
- What UC did you end up transferring to from cc?
- Are cc classes easier to get an A in than APs/how bad are they?
- What’s your major?
- How hard was it to transfer from cc?
- Any reassurance, recommendations, or discouragement from this path for me?
