Hi everyone,

I’m posting this on behalf of a friend who’s been struggling with this issue for a while.

We used to play VALORANT together months (maybe a year) ago without any problems. Recently, we tried to get back into the game, but Vanguard is now blocking him with error VA9003, which requires Secure Boot to be enabled.

Here’s the problem:

  • He tried enabling Secure Boot (UEFI) in the BIOS
  • After doing that, his PC shows a red screen error saying something like verification failed, and he can’t boot into the system
  • He had to revert the changes just to use his PC again

He even took the PC to a technician, but they couldn’t fix it. The technician suggested it might be a motherboard issue and even mentioned possibly needing to replace it, which seems a bit extreme.

So we’re wondering:

  • Is there any workaround for Vanguard’s Secure Boot requirement?
  • Could this be related to TPM, BIOS version, or GPU firmware instead of the motherboard?
  • Has anyone experienced the red screen Secure Boot verification failure and fixed it without replacing hardware?

Any help or ideas would be really appreciated.
