I met a man (67)at church. After church one day he asked me if I wanted to take a walk. We engaged in conversation until 6pm. A few weeks went by and he told me he has been separated for 8 years and told his wife he is going to divorce her 2 months before we met. He had been renting a room from a Christian couple and the husband was taking advantage of my friend to fetch things. The owner had been diagnosed with needing a kidney transplant. My friend became fearful that he would be used as a care taker. Plus, the room stunk. I told him he could stay with me in my sons old bedroom. There was romantic interest but I have since moved him to the friend zone. He makes very little money and I dont know where he could stay. I am by myself (63) and need occasional help, i.e. I just had major abdominal surgery. He has made very little progress with the divorce within the last 8 months. He hasn't filed, hasn't found a lawyer, etc. I feel like him staying with me is inappropriate. Can I please get advice. Thanks
