Is that what Hollywood and sci-fi are for, all those space films? Are they an escape for the elites and a distraction for the rest of us? They make us feel like small, useless peasants on a spinning rock traveling at insane speeds, corkscrewing through the void after the sun. It’s a narrative that keeps us ‘good, working citizens.’ Meanwhile, it hides a truth that has grown too big to contain: we are in an enclosed system, specifically created to host life.
