I've been listening through the PHM film score for study music, and I just noticed the track titled "Grace Has Mate," number 22 on the album by Daniel Pemberton. I noticed it because... Grace doesn't have a mate? That's kinda a key part of his character (more so in the book but also in the film). The film editing brilliantly teases a sort of what-if aspect to his relationship with Dr. Stratt (much more subtle in the film than in the book), so I'm curious if this track plays during one of their interactions? More likely is that it plays during an interaction between him and Rocky, with Rocky being a sort of, like, platonic mate in a sense?
(I know Rocky asks about his mate during the "mates" discussion, but Grace's offhand comment about his former wife could hardly warrant its own track. Something deeper is at hand. Grace has a mate, but who?)
