Hi! I was the gal who posted the pic of a before and after my infusion last year.

I just wanted to share that I went in today to do the INfed infusion and had a full anaphylactic shock response. 🫠🫠🫠 It was the scariest moment of my life.

So um, that's a hard pass, I guess. lol. The plan is to return next week and to my usual Venofer infusions. I do have a question for those who had a reaction to INfed. How long did the side effects last? I was treated immediately when my body went into shock, but I am super anxious that I'm gonna have another episode or something. 😬😬😬

I won't show y'all a pic of what I currently look like post allergic reaction. 💀💀💀

Hi! I love this group! I joined a year ago when I was worried about my first infusion. It went well and shot my iron up perfectly! However, due to heavy periods, I am low again.

I plan to have a partial hysterectomy late fall, but my hematologist wants to do another infusion in the meantime. It is on Friday. Last year, my infusions were 1hr a week, for 3 weeks. This time, it's 1 appt for 5 hours. I asked why the time frame is different and they said it is because of my insurance. They gave me Venofer last May. I believe I am getting Infed on Friday.

I'm sure it's fine, but I am worrying about getting all of the infusion at once instead of spreading it out over 3 weeks. 😬 Any advice or experiences y'all wanna share?

The first pic is the before and after my first infusion! The second pic shows my levels from last April until now. Idk how I was alive last April. 💀
