(TW: insurance, doctor nonsense, communication burnout) not sure if this a Vent or Misc post...
I was having my morning tea when I started feeling a pins and needles kind of tingling in my fingers like I had been sitting on them (I had not been). I look down to find a weird, almost raynaud's, looking discoloration on my fingers. The last time I had something like this happen to me I think I was 8 years old? Many many years before a diagnosis or even other symptoms.
I'm on hydroxychloroquine and haven't been able to take humira for 3-4 months because of insurance changes. My doctors were trying to get my on Yuflyva but it wasn't getting approved for some reason? I just found out this week that it's the auto injector they don't like and I will need to start using a classic syringe for my injections, if I'm to start taking them again. 🙃
This past year has been rough when it comes to doctor availability and medication nonsense.
I've kind of stopped talking about it to the people in my life because I'm tired. I'm tired of the confused or empty look on people's faces when they have no frame of reference to empathize. And I'm tired of worrying if people feel like I'm an energy vampire like on Dark Shadows! Lol!
Anyway thanks for listening! I'd love to hear about any weird little one off things that happened to you as a kid that you think might have been foreshadowing in some way. The human body is weird, but the brain is weirder!
