Hey everyone,

Need some tech advice on my KuKirin G2 Master. I’m stuck with the notorious E001 error code (Rear Motor Hall Sensor Fault). The issue popped up right after I changed the rear inner tube. I was using tire levers pretty aggressively and slightly bent the outer rim edge, so I probably messed something up.

Right now, when I hit the throttle, the rear motor just twitches for a millisecond, throws the E001 code, and shuts off completely.

Here is what I’ve checked so far:

Harness & Voltage: Wiring from the controller looks fine. I’m getting a solid 5V on Red/Black (VCC/GND).

Continuity: I opened up the motor hub. There are no broken wires at the axle entry point. Continuity from the 5-pin main plug to the internal PCB pads is 100% perfect.

The 5V USB Bench Test: I disconnected the motor PCB from the scooter and hooked it up to an external 5V 1A USB power supply to test the sensors with a magnet. This is where it gets weird:

Green & Blue sensors: When no magnet is near, they sit around 1.3V–1.5V (makes sense since there are no pull-up resistors on a bare bench test). When I pass a magnet over them, they cleanly drop to 0V and toggle back up.

Yellow sensor (marked 61H): This one sits at 0V constantly in a resting state. It only jumps up to 1.3V–1.5V when I actively pass a magnet over it.

Two quick questions for the motor experts here:

Is the Yellow sensor definitely fried? Does a constant 0V at rest mean it's shorted out internally? Or is it a "feature" and this side sensor is just supposed to behave opposite to the Green and Blue ones? (To me, it feels like a dead giveaway that it's broken, but I want to be 100% sure).

Is a 41F sensor a legit replacement for the stock 61H? All three stock sensors are mounted facing text-side up. I already bought a 10-pack of 41F (TO-92) bipolar Hall sensors. Can I just solder the 41F in place of the 61H using the exact same orientation (text facing front)?

(Side note: On this specific PCB, the yellow sensor's output pin shares the exact same solder pad with the main yellow signal wire on the edge of the board).

Would really appreciate some reassurance before I heat up my soldering iron and swap it out. Thanks in advance
