It's not very often I come across an odd experience as a result of me being foreign, but I had one at the supermarket not too long ago.
I was at a self checkout line with my son and he was doing all the scan coding things. We come to a tomato and I press the screen for vegetables. Not too long I see another finger appear attempting to do the same thing. I didn't think much of it and proceeded with the next button which was "non-green vegetables" (an odd name for a category, but whatever), and the finger appears again, but trying to push a different button on the screen. I react this time only to see the owner of the finger... an older woman standing next to us who was doing her own groceries. I look at her. Then she tries to look at what we're trying to enter. I hold it up and say "Tomato" with a smile. She bows and leaves.
