Siding depth greater than window extrusion

I'm a homeowner (definitely not professional! 😄) and have a cabana that I'm siding. The siding is NewTechWood castellation cladding which calls for vertical and horizontal furring strips which will bring out the total siding depth to 2.5" (0.75 each for the furring, and 1" for the siding). The windows currently project a fraction under 1.5" (lets call it 1/16th), which will leave a tiny gap behind the JChannel. My question is, should I (option A) build out the window with PVC trim to a total depth of 2.5" for the JChannel to butt up against. (option B ) install the J Channel a fraction smaller than the window dimensions so it sits over the window frame, and silicone the gap. (option C) your other suggestion. Thank you so much for your time in helping me with this puzzle.
