Need help for troubleshooting or (lossless) reinstall
Hi there,
I'm really desperate now. Hope someone here can help me out...
I'm not a pro-user of reaper, but I've had some fun with it the last couple of months.
Mostly I used it for messing around with my MIDI-Keyboard (M-Audio Oxygen Pro Mini) and tried out some song ideas.
I do not own an audio-interface. I've installed the ASIO4ALL drivers to get my Keyboard and everything working,
However, I recently bought an AKAI MPC-Live 3 which is a lot of fun.
I've read that the MPC can also be used as an Audio-Interface and because I've also bought a new Microphone (SM57) -> I thought I might just now use the MPC as an Audio-Interface to make use of the SM57 inside of reaper.
So I downloaded all the AKAI MPC Drivers and tried to hook the MPC up to reaper.
It kind of worked for some time, and I could hear the MIC-Input in Reaper, but when I tried to also connect my MIDI-Keyboard the the whole software freezes completely.
When I restart Reaper it just starts with the status, that the MIDI-Device (M-Audio) ist not found. When I try to change it, it freezes again.
At the moment, whatever I do I cannot get my MIDI-Keyboard to work inside reaper again.
I tried to adjust everything in reaper like before I connected the MPC but nothing seems to work.
I would really like to deinstall reaper from my computer and reinstall it again to start fresh.
But since I used reaper I've downloaded so many PlugIns and made so many presets and templates that I don't want to loose them.
I'm not sure what to do next.
My goal is to get reaper and my MIDI-Keyboard to work again. I'm not gonna try to connect my MPC again, cause I think its kind of unstable (or maybe I'm just to dump to do it)
Can anybody help?
