With Exiles hitting UE5 and, it appears, getting a new lease on life and renewed interest from old players (and hopefully some new), we're going to be seeing some wonderful changes with the launch. QoL touches like crafting from chests, the visual upgrades, travel between maps, etc. It's all wonderful stuff that people have asked about or dreamed of for years.
If the re-launch goes well, I'm expecting CE will have the attention of devs once again. So what changes would you like to see? Let's keep it to one or two fairly simple things so that we're not asking for the moon. A new item that ties into existing mechanics; like a mini-field for farming? Perhaps the addition of fishing beyond the nets? Swimming crocodiles? Working boats (you'll certainly want them if there's swimming crocs)? What's your dream addition?
For me, I'd love to see equipment be standardized, and/or actually do what it *looks* like it does.
For example: Poitain Katana and base Katana are both iron-tier blades. The Poitain blade does 15/18 damage, the basic does 19/23. It'd be nice if the build requirements and damage were aligned, given that they're the same tier. It feels odd to pay for a DLC and get weaker gear for it.
Or hot/cold weather clothing. There's a *lot* of gear that looks like it's meant for one climate or the other, but little to no difference in the protection given. It's always nice when a game aligns visuals with the mechanics. Clothing made of thick leathers and heavy furs should probably offer more cold resistance than a half naked body with some jewelry and silks. Plus it helps give gear value that ties into its aesthetics as well. Give people a reason to bundle up or shed heavy clothes, depending on the environment.
So what's your wishlist idea?
