I am currently in my final year of nursing studies, and have begun my process for NSW New Grad applications and hospital preferences.

I would love to do paediatrics but I know it’s incredibly competitive taking only 40 people per hospital. New grad positions are already competitive but I would have a better chance at a larger adult hospital.

Does anyone have any honest advice, be blunt! I’m feeling very conflicted! I know it’s one year of my life, and getting into paediatrics will be incredibly competitive even after new grad.
